The approximately 90 employees in the Scandinavian organization , repair and deliver aircraft components to customers worldwide and work in the areas of aerostructure, hydraulics, pneumatics and logistics / warehousing and administration.

Aircraft Electrician

Aircraft Electrician

for our business in Stockholm / Arlandastad


ST Engineering Aerospace Solutions is a company owned by Singapore Technologies Engineering. We operate in Stockholm - Arlandastad with headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark.

We are an aircraft component maintenance enterprise that offers comprehensive solutions to our customers on most used aircraft types in civil aviation such as Boeing 737, 747, 757, 767 and 787, as well as Airbus A300, A3320series, A330 and A340.  We deliver airline components to airlines worldwide. In addition, we cooperate with other maintenance suppliers in Sweden and abroad.

Tasks for a Mechanic at ST Engineering Aerospace Solutions electromechanical shop involves:

  • Testing and troubleshooting electromechanical units, such as solenoids, switches, sensors, position transducers and electrical wire bundles.
  • Equipment used for this are mainly AC and DC power supplies, digital multimeters, milliohm meters, insulation resistance testers, oscilloscopes, inductance meters, torque meters and various specially designed test equipment.
  • It also involves mechanical assembly, dimensional measuring, testing and troubleshooting.
  • Equipment used for this are mainly (apart from standard assembly tools) digital calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, force meters, 3-point internal micrometers and torque wrenches.

Skills required for an electromechanical technician:

  • Measuring voltage, current, resistance and inductance, using above equipment.
  • Performing dimensional measurements, using above equipment.
  • Performing electrical and mechanical troubleshooting for the types of units described above.
  • Performing disassembly, repair and assembly of the types of units described above.
  • Wire stripping, contact crimping and soldering of various electrical connections.
  • Repairing electrical wire bundles.
  • Good understanding of the English language; reading, writing and speaking.
  • Ability to work independently, follow manual instructions and make maintenance records as required. 

Qualifications and experience

  • Professional background could be within the aviation industry, but it might as well be auto repair shop or equivalent, where electrical troubleshooting and repair tasks have been included.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret applicable maintenance data, repair manuals, assembly drawings, worksheets, service bulletins, service letters, authority directives etc.
  • Thorough with a positive and constructive attitude.
  • Able to work independently and within a team.
  • Flexible and capable of handling stressful situations,
